I wanted to take a quick moment to answer the one question that has been frequently asked over the years by my readers and followers: “How do you eat all of that and stay so fit?!”
Let me break it down for you…
First off, everything in moderation.
While I absolutely love preparing these Sinfully Tempting recipes to share with you, trust me when I say that it’s not something I do multiple times a week. A typical weeknight meal for me might consist of pan-seared salmon, accompanied by sautéed fresh baby kale and some rosemary red potatoes. If I choose to snack later in the evening it’s usually something like cheese, crackers or fruit. When I do fix sweets, I try to limit the amount I prepare otherwise YES, I will sit down and eat an entire cake over the course of a day. Been there, done that and I’m sure there are probably photos out there somewhere to prove it. Let’s hope they never surface.😉
Thankfully, staying active was something that began for me at an early age. I started with gymnastics, cheerleading and dance. Later, I spent my summers surfing and my winters figure skating. As I got older I spent time working as a choreographer and a fitness trainer. What can I say…I like to keep busy! I try to commit to working out 5 or 6 days a week and mix it up with weight training, yoga and cardio. I’m not a fitness freak by any means, but I do try to take care of my body.
I have been blessed with a fast metabolism.
Don’t hate! I’m that person most love to resent because while they are still too full after dinner to even move, I’m already looking for what to eat next. It’s not all that great. I find I have to eat multiple times a day just to keep my energy up. I know that eventually things will slow down, which is why I make sure to stick with what I’ve posted above.😉
Everything I eat goes straight to my boobs.
Yes, I said boobs, go ahead and giggle. Sure, guys think it’s great but I see it as a curse. I swear I have made Victoria’s Secret quite wealthy over the years. Bras are not cheap, especially when you need large ones. It’s a nightmare shopping for bikinis, I have to stick with places that allow bottoms and tops to be purchased separately (again, I’m sure VS thanks me for my business!). I won’t even mention how difficult it is to exercise. If those puppies aren’t locked down while jogging I’m looking at two black eyes. Laugh it up, but I know some of you reading this feel my pain. #bustygirlproblems
So that’s that. I hope I’ve cleared some things up for those of you that wonder how I do it. When all is said and done it’s important to do what makes you happy. You need to live, laugh, love and remember that it’s OK to treat yourself from time to time. Life passes by too quickly, enjoy the ride!😀❤
